You are cordially invited to participate in the second annual Community Arts Collaboration. Artwork and writing from this collaborative process will be displayed together at the Venus Rising Art Gallery and other venues beginning April 25, 2008. Show reception and opening will be held during the first Phantom Art Walk of the season. Artwork and writing can be offered for sale at the discretion of the artist/writer.

How it Works: All artist and writers will submit one finished piece of original work to be "borrowed" by another member of the collaboration pool to serve as a source of inspiration. Writers will respond to artwork while artist will respond to written work. Each participant will have two pieces in the show: one that served as inspiration, the other that was inspired by someone else�s work. Names of all artists and writers will be �hidden� for the duration of the collaboration to ensure that the work itself becomes the source of inspiration. After the �creative period� all borrowed work, along with the work created based on the borrowed work, will be returned to the curator for the show.
